What is acute lymphocytic leukemia?
Acute lymphocytic leukemia is a blood cancer where there are too many of specific types of white blood cells called lymphocytes or lymphoblasts. It is the most common type of leukemia in young children. It also affects adults, especially those age 65 and older.
