What is ankylosing spondylitis?
Ankylosing spondylitis is an autoimmune chronic inflammatory disorder characterized by inflammation in the vertebral joints of the spine and sacroiliac joints. Patients present with stiffness and pain in the spine. Ankylosing spondylitis is a seronegative spondyloarthropathy.
