What is gallstones?
Gallstones (choleliths) are crystalline bodies formed within the body by accretion or concretion of normal or abnormal bile components. Gallbladder stones can lead to acute cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) or obstruction of bile flow in the bile ducts.
