What is non-celiac gluten intolerance?

Gluten intolerance refers to digestive issues in which gluten is not able to be properly absorbed and may damage the the lining of the small intestine. It is a characteristic of Celiac Disease and is known as Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity in patients who do not have Celiac Disease.
