What is hepatitis C?
Hepatitis C is a viral disease that leads to inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus transmitted primarily by contaminated blood and is often associated with transfusion and IV drug abuse. However, in some case the source of hepatitis C is unknown.
