What is idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura?
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is a bleeding disorder characterized by a low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) with no known cause. It is also known as immune thrombocytopenic purpura or immune-mediated thrombocytopenia.
