What is mitral valve disorder?
The heart's mitral valve is located between the left atrium and left ventricle controlling the flow of blood between these two chambers. Mitral disorders include stenosis or narrowing of the valve, regurgitation of blood due to incompetence of the valve; prolapse or billowing of part of the valve.
