What is tooth abscess?
A tooth abscess is a collection of pus (bacterial infection) that forms in the tooth. Some symptoms include swelling, pain and inflammation. The infection can spread to the surrounding bone supporting the tooth. A tooth abscess may occur with an untreated dental cavity, or trauma to the tooth.
