Fenofibrate is an antilipemic agent that is used as adjunct to dietary therapy for the treatment of adults with elevations of serum triglyceride levels (types IV and V hyperlipidemia) and adjunct to dietary therapy for the reduction of low density lipoprotein cholesterol.
