What is Imperforated hymen correction?

Category: Surgeries

false

An imperforate hymen is a membrane that extends all the way across the area of the hymen, blocking the vaginal opening. It is easily corrected through a minor surgery. This may be done to newborns if detected, but may also not be done until adolescence when menses begin.
