Sinus obliteration is a surgery that eliminates the sinuses in order to prevent chronic infection, or in response to head trauma or cancer. The sinuses are cavities in the skull in which mucous drains to the nasal passages. The cavities are eliminated by filling them with fat grafts and soft tissue.
