A steroid Injection is an injection of long lasting steroid, it is used to treat painful inflammatory conditions, e.g. DeQuervains tendonitis, carpal tunnel. The injection consists of a mixture of local anesthetic and steroid medication and is used to reduce inflammation, swelling and pain.
