Acetazolamide is most often used in the treatment of glaucoma, drug-induced edema or edema due to congestive heart failure, epilepsy, and prevention or amelioration of symptoms associated with acute mountain sickness. It may also be used for urine alkalization or as a respiratory stimulant.
