Sulfasalazine is a 5-aminosalicylic acid derivative used primarily for ulcerative colitis and rheumatoid arthritis. It has many other uses including ankylosing spondylitis, collagenous colitis, Crohn's disease, psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis.
