Armodafinil is a stimulant that is used to improve wakefulness in patients with excessive daytime sleepiness associated with narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorder; and as adjunctive therapy for obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome (breathing interruption in sleep).
